Feed-in Tariff

From 1st April 2010 the government replaced the grant system with the new feed-in tariffs giving you a very good financial return

The present rates are as follows :-

PV ≤4 kW (retrofit)                         41.3p

PV >4-10 kW                                    36.1p                    

PV >10-100 kW                                 31.4p                   

PV >100kW-5MW                             29.3p                   

PV Stand alone system                     29.3p                          

•       Tariffs linked to the RPI
•      Income from the tariff is tax free
•      You are paid the generation tariff irrespective of what is used by the building
•      Once an installation has been given a tariff, you remain on that tariff for 25 years.
•       Your supplier will assume 50% exported at an additional rate of 3p  

Therefore a 1.9 kw array (10 panels) on an unshaded south facing roof assuming the 50% power used by building and 50% exported, will benefit by :-

Generation Tariff @ 41.3p                                  £661

Export tariff @ 3p                                              £24

Saving by not buying from the grid @ 12p            £96
